When Za’s home world was taken over by imperials (A peaceful takeover. Local government voted to join the Imperial cause) his life improved greatly. Za’s school received new supplies, long over due, and the general standard of living improved. But soon, rebel agents began spreading their lies of the "evil empire" and of joining the rebellion. Many people ignored these agents. But unfortunately, Za’s family listened, and started to believe these lies.
Za did his best to convince his family not to do anything rash, but Za’s bother, Yuri, quickly joined the Rebels as a starfighter pilot. Za tried to dissuade Yuri, explaining that the survival rate for pilots is very low, but Yuri wouldn’t listen. Soon, Za also joined the rebels in order to look out for his brother.
After a brief training period, Za and another man, named Val Undia, showed themselves to be the best pilots in the class. Yuri, on the other hand, couldn’t land his starfighter straight. Despite this, due to his intense loyally to the rebellion, Yuri was promoted to second in command of their new squad.
Za’s first mission was to attack a CRV reportedly carrying Imperial VIP’s.
His squadron of twelve Z-95's attacked the CRV, which was being loosely escorted by only four Assault Gunboats. During the battle, Za and Val Undia each shot down two AG’s , against a total of seven Z-95's lost for the rebels, including the Mission Leader. Za, while inspecting the CRV, was surprised to find it carrying only plague victims (Later reported as being transported to Medical Platform CAREDOM). He quickly informed Yuri, who now had the rank of Squad Commander, and was greatly shocked when Yuri reaffirmed the order to destroy the CRV,.
He refused, feeling he was a soldier, not a terrorist, and was against the killing of civilians. Yuri then ordered the remaining members of the Squad to attack Za, calling him a traitor to the rebel cause. Three Z-95's immediately started attack runs on Za, when a fourth, piloted by Val, intervened and destroyed two of them.
Za, realizing the last Z-95, piloted by his own brother, was shooting at him, dodged and returned fire. Yuri’s flight controls were damaged in the exchange, and Za pulled in behind him and watched.
Yuri was furious, calling both the other pilots traitors. Val then angled his ship towards Yuri saying, "Za, if you can’t finish him off, then step aside" and began his attack run.
Za instinctively moved his ship to intercept, crashing into Val, and sending them both careening. His last words to Yuri, as he spun off, were, "Leave now brother. I saved your life and I suggest you quit the rebellion before you get yourself killed."
As Yuri hypered away, he responded, " Glory to the rebellion! I will be back for you traitors and then you’ll pay!" and was gone.
Za then flew his Z-95 to the CRV and surrendered his ship. He was arrested and placed under lock and key, but no more than an hour later, his guards returned and dragged him to the hanger where Val was waiting.
"So you hate the rebels yet?" said Val. Za only nodded. "Well there’s a squadron of X-wing’s and Y-wing’s approaching. If you help defend this CRV, I will see about getting you a commission in the Imperial Navy. If not, then you can rot in your cell" said Val.
Deciding it was better to fight, he joined with Val, and together they fought off nearly twenty-four attacking rebels.
Later, Val explained that his real name was Lieutenant Wolodrom, of the Emperor's Second Fleet, and that he had been on a mission to spy on the rebels. After seeing that rebels weren't promoting by skill but rather by loyal, he concluded his mission complete and that saving the civilians aboard the CRV should be his primary goal.
Val convinced Za that he should apply to the Imperial
Academy, and explained that by his honorable
act of protecting his bother, and in such an extraordinary fashion,
he would be recommended to receive the Academy's
Elite Training Program.
Upon graduating second in his class, Za was assigned
to the Imperial Pilot Rescue Corps (IPRC)
where he served for four years. It was then that he was given the
opportunity to join the ISP, and train with
their very best. After the demanding 4 week
training course Za finally made it and was stationed aboard the ISD
Red Hand.
During one of these odd jobs he heard a rumor the there was an Imperial fleet gathering in the out rim territories. Za not planning to re-join an imperial fleet and throw his life in a venture that will only end in defeat fall decided to just wander over to the sector that the fleet was gathering if it was well supplied, organized and had a reasonable chance at victory he might be convinced to re join the empire.
Za traveled to the edge of the imperial fleet's zone of control to a rebel platform to gather some light information about the fleet. After only three hours at the bar Za gathered that the fleet was only a rumor started by rebel generals to have their defense budget increased. Za questioned this and decided the next day he'll take a little ride into the supposed imperial fleets' space.
Just as Za was getting to sleep he heard a familiar sound the sound of torpedoes hitting a shield. Za raced to a window and two his surprise saw five imperial star destroyers and a full fleet of escort craft. This fleet was no rumor the lone rebel corvette patrolling the area was getting ready to hyper space out went a Super Star Destroyer hypered out infront of it's jump path.
Za thought to himself after seeing this fleet and it's display of power that even if this was the entire fleet there was enough power here to at the very least to harass the New Republic and weaken it's hold on the outer rim sectors and with some time and with the resources from the out rim this fleet could strike back.
Za decision was made up he was going to join the imperial fleet but the only problem was the he had to live to join. The rebels aboard the station were foolishly trying to resist the boarding operation that was under way. Za decided to act he made his way to the main armory aboard the platform and just walked in picked up a rifle and some ammo and walked out with on one question him. Za then made his way to the main control room and waited outside the door. Three minutes later the lights when out, just what he was waiting for the station has been disabled and a boarding party should be arriving in a few minutes Za entered the control room shot the two guards and seized the control room. This in no way helped in the taking of the station but his many years of experience taught him that taking a station was easy keeping the control room from being destroyed is the hard part. This act should allow the station to become operation in hours after it was taken.
When the first stormtroopers entered the control
room they ordered Za to drop his weapon he complied.
After the rebels were taken away Za was questioned about what he was doing
here and such. Za decided it was best to lie
telling someone that you were a former imperial red guard
usually gets you killed so he just gave his former IPRC rank and serial
number. After the captain ran it through
the computer he gave him a long look and with some hesitation told
Za that he would have to re-train in order to join this fleet. Za
agreed one can never have too much training
a this was my chance to learn about this fleet Za was shuttled over to
the ISD Arrowhead and thus so began his training.
Za learned that the organization was called the Imperial
order and was preparing to strike back.
